What if the cylinder pin is faulty/broken?

If the cylinder’s pin is faulty or broken, you should not use it in any case. Here are some important point about faulty pin cylinders:

1- Before receiving the cylinder from the deliveryman, ensure that he checks the cylinder. Any and all problems should be identified/solved before you sign on the delivery slip.

2- Ensure that the deliveryman notes the serial number of the cylinder on the cash memo and your diary. This is important because in case the cylinder turns out to be faulty, the serial number should match. If you don’t have the serial number noted, the delivery man will probably not believe that it is the same cylinder which was delivered.

3- If the pin is broken, put the cap on the cylinder nozzle and place the cylinder in an open area. Dont place it on the roof.

4- Complain for ‘leakage’ at the gas agency by phone or in person. take the complaint number and note it. Call the agency, if the mechanic does not arrive in an hour.
