Your cylinder is leaking due to faulty valve?

This event can be called common and happens in case the cylinder delivered at your home was not checked at the time of delivery. The problem is not a big one, but can cause an accident. Here are some important points about the ‘faulty valve’ situation:

1- The valve is called the o-ring, which is simply a rubber ring meant to prevent the gas from escaping from the sides of the cylinder pin. It is very similar to the ‘washer’ that is used in with screws. If this o-ring is not properly placed in the cylinder or is broken, the cylinder will leak.

2- If you cylinder is leaking, place the cap on the nozzle and place the cylinder in an open area.

3- Call the gas agency and complain for ‘leakage’. Surely take the complaint number from the person recording it.

4- Most probably, the mechanic will arrive in an hour or two and will rectify the problem by replacing the o-ring. If this does not happen, call the agency again. If they dont respond, get in touch with the dealer. If that does not work, call the sales officer of the company.
